Kirill CHELUSHKIN

Born in 1968 in Moscow, Russia
Works and lives Moscow, Russia and Paris, France

Kirill Chelushkin studied at the Moscow Architectural Institute, from which he graduated in 1984. In the late 1990s, he met artist and theorist Dimitry Goutov, who introduced him to the school of thought of Michael Livchitz, a fervent advocate for social realism, criticizing the formal tendency in modernism. This encounter inspired Kirill Chelushkin to engage in chiefly visual art hinging on the reality that he observes around him and pointed him toward drawing and illustration. His work is regularly shown in Russia and across Europe.
