SUPPORT FOR ARTISTIC PRODUCTION -“LA CARTE DU TENDRE”- MUCEM, MARSEILLE

2026

The RAJA Collection is delighted to support the latest iteration of La Carte du Tendre, a temporary interactive installation by artists Joaquim Fossi, Nine d’Urso, and Lucas Depersin, presented at the Mucem (Marseille) from July 22 to 27, 2026!

In a room at Fort Saint-Jean, where the floor and walls are entirely covered in cardboard, each visitor is invited to contribute to an immersive performance by answering questions about their relationship to places, space, or distances—directly on maps that, over the course of several days, come together to form a sensitive and poetic archive. Cardboard plays a central role in the installation, serving both aesthetic and symbolic purposes. Malleable and familiar, it makes the museum space livable and welcoming, and allows visitors to interact with the installation.

La Carte du Tendre is accompanied by Fréquence Tendre, “the first traveling community radio station.” Fréquence Tendre broadcasts live throughout the installation’s run, capturing the encounters and stories of the participants.

“Where is home for me? What are my boundaries made of? The relationship each person has with their space is, for us, a source of endless curiosity and wonder. Our idea is to heighten this subjectivity, making it tangible and visible to others through the act of mapping. Thus, these ‘surveys’ reveal differences in relationships to the world (domestic, public, or natural), inequalities in access to the ‘Elsewhere,’ territorial struggles, and life stories (…) the viewer leaves a mark on an object but also observes and interacts with what others have left behind.” (excerpt from the artists’ statement)
